Das Mischwald-Projekt

The philosophy of SANTE natural cosmetics is as follows:

“If we want to make the world a bit nicer, then let’s start with ourselves!”

This is why SANTE has committed itself to protecting the forests, among other projects: SANTE has initiated a tree-planting project in the nearby wood, and the local primary school is part of it. Traditional types of apple trees and oaks were chosen to increase the variety of trees in the wood, and for sustainable forestry re-growth.

The children in primary one and two planted the trees and put signs with their names onto “their” tree. The goal is to encourage the children to want to go into the wood more often, to visit their tree. In a couple of years, they’ll even be able to harvest some delicious apples – from the trees they planted themselves!

„With our tree-planting event, we want to bring the beauty and importance of nature closer – especially to children – and to show them how easy it is for each one to make a small contribution to protecting the environment. The amazing side effect is, naturally, that we compensate for some CO2”, says Dr Nils Rüffer, environmental officer at SANTE.

With the mixed forest project, SANTE contributes to increasing our awareness of the environment, and to preserving its diversity for generations to come.
